TCM for Pain

Living with persistent pain can affect every part of your life, from work and exercise to sleep and daily mobility. At Regis Wellness TCM Clinic, we provide safe, effective, and natural TCM pain relief treatments in Singapore that go beyond masking symptoms. Our approach combines ancient wisdom with modern evidence-based practices to target the root causes of pain, restore balance, and support long-term healing.

Whether you are struggling with chronic knee pain, lower back pain, frozen shoulder, neck stiffness, sports injuries, or post-surgical recovery, our team of TCMPB-registered TCM physicians can help you regain comfort and freedom of movement through personalised treatment plans.

How TCM Relieves Pain Naturally

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), pain is understood as a result of blockages or imbalances in the flow of Qi and blood within the body’s meridians. When Qi and blood are obstructed, it leads to stagnation, inflammation, and discomfort.

Our TCM therapies are designed to:

  • Unblock stagnant Qi and restore smooth circulation
  • Reduce inflammation and swelling in affected areas
  • Stimulate the body’s natural painkillers (endorphins)
  • Promote tissue repair and faster recovery
  • Support overall physical and emotional balance

By treating the root cause of pain, not just the symptoms, we help patients experience fast, sustainable relief without overreliance on pain medication.

Common Pain Conditions We Treat

Knee Pain

Knee pain is one of the most common conditions in Singapore, especially among older adults and active individuals. TCM can provide effective relief for:

  • Osteoarthritis and cartilage degeneration
  • Ligament strains and meniscus injuries
  • Sports-related knee pain
  • Post-surgical knee rehabilitation

Acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine help reduce inflammation, improve mobility, and strengthen joint function naturally.

Back Pain

Lower back pain and slipped discs are leading causes of discomfort and lost productivity. Our treatments target:

  • Chronic lower back pain and stiffness
  • Sciatica (nerve pain radiating down the legs)
  • Muscle strain from posture or overuse
  • Degenerative spinal conditions

Through acupuncture and cupping, we aim to manage pain caused by nerve compression, improve blood flow, and relieve muscle strains for long-term comfort.

Shoulder Pain

Frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injuries, and shoulder impingement can limit your daily movement. TCM treatments help to:

  • Reduce pain and stiffness
  • Improve shoulder flexibility
  • Accelerate recovery from sports injuries

Cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion focus on calming inflammation and address the stiffness caused by adhesions.

Neck Pain

Neck stiffness and tension are increasingly common amongst Singaporeans due to long hours at the desk or using mobile devices. TCM provides relief for:

  • Cervical spondylosis
  • Whiplash injuries
  • Chronic tension headaches linked to neck strain

Acupuncture and gua sha release tight muscles, reduce nerve compression, and restore mobility.

Elbow & Wrist Pain

Conditions such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome respond well to TCM therapy. Treatments help reduce inflammation, restore joint mobility, and prevent recurrence by addressing muscular imbalances.

Hip, Foot & Ankle Pain

TCM provides natural pain relief for conditions such as hip bursitis, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, and ankle sprains. By improving blood circulation and reducing inflammation, patients can return to daily activity sooner.

Sports Injuries & Recovery

Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, sports injuries such as sprains, muscle tears, tendonitis, or shin splints can slow you down. TCM accelerates recovery through acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine, while also preventing re-injury by strengthening tendons and muscles.
